“Topics that represent taboos need to be addressed, need to be faced. The first thing in order to adequately deal with a problem is to talk about it”, pointed out the vice-president of the TCU and Internal Affairs Officer, Minister Bruno Dantas,

The statement was made during a video interview granted to the TCU’s Department of Communications, in which Dantas comments on the survey results.

Minister Bruno Dantas pointed out that one of the survey results that most caught his attention was the large number of people who reported to have already suffered harassment and did not make any complaint to the Court’s official channels. “When it comes to sexual harassment, less than 2% of those who suffered abuse filed a complaint with the Internal Affairs Office”. As for moral harassment, the difference is small, only 5% of people have made any complaint.

In view of this information, new actions will be implemented at the TCU. The next steps involve campaigns to raise awareness on the subject, as well as actions to promote complaint channels and to better structure the Internal Affairs Office in order to assist public servants and employees.

"In addition to promoting complaint channels, we will be structured to provide a proper solution to the issue. We have a health department at the TCU, which has psychologists, for example, and other professionals who can help us," said the minister and Internal Affairs officer.
