From May 6 to 9, 2025, the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) participated in the INTOSAI’s Strategic Development Plan Seminar (SDP 2023–2028) followed by the meeting of the Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIPP), both held in New Delhi, India.

The Brazilian delegation included Minister Jorge Oliveira, who delivered the seminar’s opening address, and staff members Diogo Leonardo (Office of Minister Jorge Oliveira), Michel Cohen (Department of International Relations), and Tiago Costa (Department for Auditing United Nations Operations). The event brought together representatives from INTOSAI’s main governance bodies, including standards committees, FIPP members, leaders of the five SDP initiatives, and the organization’s General Secretariat.

Throughout the sessions, the TCU played an active role in refining project proposals under INTOSAI’s strategic initiatives on digital accessibility, terminology, principles, standards (ISSAIs), and audit guides. These efforts are key to updating and aligning the INTOSAI Framework of Professional Pronouncements (IFPP), the global reference framework that guides the work of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) around the world.

The TCU’s engagement reaffirms its standing as Vice-Chair of the Professional Standards Committee (PSC) and as a member of the FIPP, contributing directly to the ongoing enhancement of the technical quality of INTOSAI’s pronouncements. These standards foster more effective and efficient audits, driving improvements in good governance, transparency, and ultimately, in the lives of citizens.
