The auditors Rosana de Oliveira Machado Aragão, and Patricia Yuri Kochi, participated in the "Equal Futures Audit Changemakers Capacity Development Workshop", from October 9 to 13. The workshop was organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) in Hammamet, Tunisia.

As part of the program, auditors participated in training workshops that will result in the development of an external control strategy and the implementation of an audit addressing equity, diversity, and inclusion. The project is expected to be completed by June 2024, under the mentorship of IDI tutors. The Brazilian team will be mentored by Zina Dache Merritt, auditor of the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO), supreme audit institution of the United States.

The program aims to develop auditors to act as transformative agents in the pursuit of a more equitable and inclusive future, considering aspects such as poverty, gender, age, disability, ethnicity, migration, and the intersectionality among them.

The event was an opportunity to exchange experiences among various countries, including Indonesia, Kosovo, the Maldives, Mauritania, Nepal, Palestine, Pakistan, Serbia, and Tuvalu. The discussions addressed topics such as inclusive leadership, communication, cultural intelligence, establishment of a coalition with stakeholders, as well as technical guidelines for developing the strategy and conducting the audit.
