Federal Court of Accounts – Brazil ( TCU) in the palm of your hand: Court innovates with superapp

In August, the pilot project of the TCU's new mobile application was launched: the superapp TCU Mobile. The application uses the concept of superapp, which gathers in a single solution several mobile digital services offered by the Court. This technological solution makes available a superapp with the size of a single service app. It allows the user to configure a home screen only with the most used services

Before the development of the superapp, for each mobile digital service there was an specific application: the EuFiscalizo, as a gateway for citizens' manifestations; the JurisTCU, for the search of court decisions and jurisprudence; the Push of processos, for following cases of interest; the Vista processual, for the visualization of the case files ; the Sessões, for the follow-up of the agendas, minutes and videos of the collegiate sessions. In total, TCU used to offer six applications with different functions for the public, which made it difficult to choose the most adequate solution for the desired service.

Now, the new TCU Mobile superapp offers a complete bundle of the Court´s digital services  to the society, with only one download. The population, in general, will have access to the information about the TCU and will be able to make demonstrations to the Ombudsman office. Journalists and public managers will be able to access all the agendas and minutes of the collegiate. Lawyers and other accredited people will be able to have access to the case files. Authorities and public servants, in turn, will be able to access the e-TCU to sign documents  and visualize files  and cases. Through the new superapp, it will also be possible to interact with Zello, the TCU's chatbot, by text or voice messages, to consult proceedings, issue certificates and obtain general information on the House's functioning.

The Superapp TCU Mobile was internally developed by the Information Technology Solutions Secretariat (STI, in Portuguese) team using the same technology present in apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram. It is aligned with the purpose of the TCU's Digital Strategy, to redesign the way the Court operates in the digital context to leverage the impact of control actions on society.

At this point, superapp is only available to users registered in the testing phase. As with other STI solutions, the development actions are incremental and based on methodology for collaborative construction. The tool will be available in the Google Play (Android) and Apple Store (iOS) platforms for the public from mid September.
