The Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), in collaboration with Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from Costa Rica, Paraguay and Mexico, is part of the task force aimed at restructuring the communication policy of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS).

The working group was established in November 2023 and aims to improve the existing document and thus modernize and optimize channels, improve transparency, and establish a more effective dialogue with all stakeholders.

The Department of Communications (SECOM) and the Department of International Relations (SERINT) are actively involved in the project. Suggestions sent to partners include the use of plain language, considered one of the pillars for improving the outreach and understanding of OLACEFS activities.

The restructuring initiative also aims to strengthen OLACEFS' reputation as a reference in the promotion of transparency and accountability in the region. Another key point is to recover and preserve the organization's history. The new communication plan is expected to be ready in the second half of 2024.
