TCU wins IT innovation award

Dedicated to the most innovative institutions of the country in their use of IT, the award recognizes the works carried out by TCU that have intensively employed Information Technology in order to start acting from a digital perspective.

The Federal Court of Accounts - Brazil (TCU) is one of the 100 most innovative institutions in the use of IT in 2019. The award was presented by IT Mídia, in São Paulo. In the overall ranking, TCU was in 57th place, competing with large Brazilian companies and institutions, such as Bradesco Bank, Natura, Volkswagen, Gol Airlines, Chevron, Queiroz Galvão, Votorantim, Pfizer, Syrian-Lebanese Hospital, among others. Results were determined by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

For the Public Sector category, the first positions were awarded to Dataprev (Social Security Information and Technology Company), Prodam-SP (Information and Communication Technology Company of São Paulo City) and Prodabel (Information and IT Company of Belo Horizonte). All of them are public or municipal mixed economy companies that operate in the area of data processing.

Participating for the first time, TCU received recognition for its innovative projects with intensive use of Information Technology (IT) to transform the Court's performance from a digital perspective.

According to the head of the Department of IT Solutions (STI), Rodrigo Felisdório, who represented TCU at the ceremony, “the award is the recognition of the professionalism, commitment, and boldness of the IT area, its public servers and collaborators, and all departments of the Court”.
