Statistical data shows that in 2018 for every US$ 0.26 invested for its operation, the Federal Court of Accounts - Brazil (TCU) returned US$ 3.10 to society. On Wednesday (04/10), the TCU launched a special page to present, digitally and graphically, the results of its activities, contained in the 2018 Annual Activity Report.

With the purpose of monitoring the work of the institution, TCU publishes a page called TCU in Numbers. In addition to the measured financial benefit, TCU's control actions have other very important impacts on Public Administration and on the Country, such as: expectation of control, prevention of waste, improvements in resource allocation, suggestions regarding improvement of laws, reduction of environmental impacts, and improvement of public policies.

The web page provides information such as the financial benefit of control actions last year compared to previous years, the number of audits carried out, the number of companies declared unreliable (blacklisted) , the largest financial benefits obtained by judgments of the Court in the last year, quantitative TCU deliberations per collegiate, the precedents adopted in its jurisprudence, the normative acts of the institution that stood out the most. We also present statistical data that demonstrate the level of timeliness of control actions in relation to the type of case compared to the number of cases opened and appraisals. Furthermore, there is a comparative analysis between 2017 and 2018, considering the different types of audit, as well as the numbers related to the appraisal of personnel acts, writs of injunction, judgment of accounts, convictions and sanctions, etc.

The results of the actions of The Public Prosecution Office at the Court of Audit are recorded as well.
