The ClimateScanner Global Call: Engaging Supreme Audit Institutions in Assessing National Climate Action report is now available for consultation.

The document details the event organized by the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) and UNDESA's Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), held on March 25 and 26 at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York. The goal was to share information about ClimateScanner and discuss experiences, challenges, and lessons learned by Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) regarding climate action.

The meeting was attended by around 200 participants, including representatives from 70 countries within the government auditing community and climate change experts. In addition to promoting the discussion of joint solutions, the meeting marked the beginning of the implementation phase of ClimateScanner, which will produce a global diagnosis of government actions designed to tackle climate change.

During the meeting, 66 SAIs signed a document in support of ClimateScanner. Around 100 SAIs are expected to be using the tool by November when COP29 will be held in Azerbaijan.
