Minister Bruno Dantas Named Honorary Member of JURISAI

TCU's Minister Bruno Dantas was named honorary member of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions with Jurisdictional Functions (JURISAI). The recognition, approved unanimously during the organization's extraordinary general assembly in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, highlights his key role in JURISAI's creation and development.

Representing the TCU at the event, Minister Antonio Anastasia thanked JURISAI members for their support. Minister Bruno Dantas played an essential role in the creation and growth of JURISAI. He will certainly be honored by this recognition and will continue to work for the organization's strengthening in the years ahead. The TCU reaffirms its commitment to supporting JURISAI's activities, he said.

The assembly took place during the XXV International Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (XXV INCOSAI). At the same meeting, JURISAI was officially recognized as an affiliated entity of INTOSAI and will now be formally included in its statutes.

About JURISAI

JURISAI brings together 42 supreme audit institutions that have jurisdictional functions to promote knowledge exchange, establish professional standards, address common challenges, such as verifying the legality of accounts, assessing the responsibility of public officials, and imposing sanctions in cases of financial mismanagement. Around a quarter of INTOSAI members have this type of function.

The organization was first proposed in June 2023 in Portugal and formally approved in September 2023 in Morocco, with the goal of fostering global cooperation and strengthening jurisdictional oversight.

In 2024, JURISAI was formally established with the signing of the Rabat Declaration and its Statute, both in Morocco. Later that year, a general assembly in France approved its Strategic Plan, marking its official launch.

The first meeting of JURISAI's Governing Board took place in Brasília on September 11 12, 2025.
