TCU to hold Grand Medal of Merit conferral ceremony this Wednesday

The Solemn Session will take place on November 5 at 10 a.m. at the Court's headquarters in Brasília

The Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) will hold a Solemn Session this Wednesday, for the conferral of the Grand Medal of Merit. The ceremony will take place in the Minister Luciano Brandão e Souza Room, in Brasília, and will be broadcast live.

Established by TCU Resolution 160/2003, the Grand Medal of Merit honors individuals and institutions, both Brazilian and foreign, who have demonstrated exceptional merit and made outstanding contributions to the country.

This year's honorees include TCU Minister Emeritus, Raimundo Carreiro; United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, António Guterres; Professor Antoninho Trevisan; President of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS) and Comptroller General of Paraguay, Camilo Benítez; researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Mariangela Hungria; President of the Court of Accounts of France, Pierre Moscovici; former President of the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI), Robson Braga; and Globo Television Network.

TCU Minister Antonio Anastasia will deliver the address, while Minister Emeritus Raimundo Carreiro will speak on behalf of the honorees.

The session will be broadcast live on the TCU's official YouTube channel.
