
The President of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU),
Minister Vital do Rêgo, welcomed on August 20 the Comptroller General of Chile,
Dorothy Pérez, and the Head of the Division of Regional Governments and Municipalities,
Sandra Estay. The meeting resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that provides for the
sharing of the ChatTCU source code and the strengthening of cooperation in information technology, including initiatives in artificial intelligence.

The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen and promote an efficient cooperation framework between the two institutions, in accordance with their respective national legislations and based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit. The Memorandum will be valid for five years and may be implemented through specific agreements and joint work plans.
During the meeting, Dorothy Pérez highlighted the role of international cooperation initiatives in improving public management. ¿This agreement represents an important step toward bringing our institutions closer together and expanding the use of technology and artificial intelligence in favour of a more efficient and transparent public administration,¿ she stated.

Minister Vital emphasized that
the partnership reinforces TCU¿s position as a reference in innovation. ¿By sharing the ChatTCU code and joining efforts with the Office of the Comptroller General of Chile, we reaffirm our commitment to modernizing government audit and contributing to technological development across the region,¿ the President noted.
Also present at the meeting were the Head of the Department of International Relations of the TCU, Hugo Chudyson, and the Head of the Department of Information Technology and Digital Evolution, Rainério Leite, who led a technical session to showcase the Court¿s progress in digital transformation and the use of public data.

In addition to the signing of the Memorandum, the representatives of the Office of the Comptroller General of Chile also visited the Serzedello Corrêa Institute for Capacity Building (ISC). The Institute¿s directors presented the strategic role of TCU¿s higher education school in training civil servants and strengthening Brazil¿s federal public administration. On the occasion, the Chilean delegation also visited the Court¿s Cultural Center and the
exhibition ¿Brazilian Scenes: Brazilian Modernism in Perspective.¿
