The chair of the TCU, Bruno Dantas, who also chairs the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), spoke at the opening of the 19th meeting of the INTOSAI WGEA Steering Committee. Dantas emphasized that the group is a reference in the development of relevant products in a collaborative way and that it works to maintain the dialogue and interaction with the main actors involved in environmental issues.

For the minister, ClimateScanner "is a joint effort of the Supreme Audit Institutions to provide a comprehensive and independent assessment of the global status of government actions to address the challenges of climate change. It is a great contribution that INTOSAI can offer the planet".

Global audit led by the TCU

ClimateScanner is an initiative of INTOSAI's chairmanship, led by the TCU, and which relies on the partnership of the INTOSAI WGEA. The main objective is to develop a methodology to allow the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) to promote a rapid assessment of the implementation stage of the respective national governments' actions related to climate change. The consolidation of these assessments will also make it possible to obtain a broad view of the development of actions at the global level.
