TCU Opens Call for Papers for International Seminar

We are pleased to invite auditors, researchers, and academics to submit papers for the first International Seminar on the Future of Public Auditing: Data, Innovation, and Citizenship. This event, organized by the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) and the Serzedello Corrêa Institute (ISC) for Capacity Building, aims to foster debate on the trends shaping public sector auditing and the relationship between oversight and citizenship.

Papers will be selected under the following thematic areas:

  • Citizen-Centered Public Audit
  • Skills and Competencies for the Auditor of the Future
  • Innovative Approaches in Public Sector Auditing: Cases and Lessons Learned
  • Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Public Audit

Confirmed keynote speakers:

  • Nelson Shack – Former Comptroller General of Peru, widely recognized for his role in implementing an innovative model of citizen participation in government audits.
  • Silvio Meira – Scientist, professor, and founder of Porto Digital and C.E.S.A.R, he is one of Brazil’s leading experts in innovation and digital transformation, offering a strategic vision of the impact of technology on society.

The deadline for paper submissions is August 11, 2025. The seminar will be held on October 21–22, 2025, in Brasília, Brazil, at ISC.
