Global Webinar to Explore the Role of Supreme Audit Institutions in Advancing Gender Equality

On 30 October 2026, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through the Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions, in partnership with Pro PALOP-TL SAI, will host the global webinar Gender Equality and Public Accountability: The Role of Supreme Audit Institutions in Advancing Equitable Governance Outcomes.
The virtual event will bring together representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs), international organizations, public sector practitioners, and development partners to discuss how public oversight and accountability can contribute to more inclusive and equitable governance outcomes.
The webinar will examine the connection between gender equality, public accountability, and external oversight, highlighting the role of SAIs in assessing public policies, government programs, and the use of public resources through a gender perspective. It will also provide a platform for participants to exchange experiences and good practices on integrating gender considerations into audit and oversight processes.
Key topics will include the presentation of the Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions as a tool for institutional transformation, as well as practical experiences and lessons learned in promoting gender-responsive governance and accountability.
By fostering dialogue and peer learning among institutions from different regions, the webinar aims to strengthen capacities and encourage the adoption of approaches that contribute to more effective, transparent, and equitable public administration.
