OECD Webinars Discuss Public Finance Communication

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development launches a series of free online events starting on March 26

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is launching a new edition of the online OECD Speakers Series, with the theme Communicating Public Finances. Over the course of five webinars, representatives from governments, academia, and international organizations will present initiatives and share experiences aimed at improving public understanding of the fiscal challenges faced by the organisation's member countries. The webinars are free and held in English.

The first online webinar will take place on March 26. The theme is Challenges of Communicating Public Policies in the New Digital Environment, featuring researcher and founder of the New Imagination Lab, Simon Piatek; Financial Times director Adriana Whiteley; and The Lancet Group manager Sian Crucefix.

The webinar series is an initiative leading up to the OECD Forum on the Restoration of Public Finances, scheduled for May 27. The forum will gather international specialists to discuss strategies for engaging society in a constantly evolving media landscape.
