The AuditaONU project conducted a management audit of VISION, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) software platform that integrates and manages information across multiple areas of the organization. The audit, carried out in February, was conducted at UNICEF's Digital Impact Division (DID), the organization's information technology department based in Valencia, Spain, and covered several of the entity's operational areas.

VISION is UNICEF's primary enterprise system, supporting administrative and program-related processes worldwide. It also serves as the basis for preparing the organization's financial statements. With millions of transactions processed each year, the quality of its controls is essential to ensuring the reliability of information and sound accountability. In 2025, UNICEF reported revenue of USD 7.9 billion.

The audit adopted an integrated approach combining information technology and financial auditing. This methodology enabled the team to focus on the controls and processes with the greatest potential impact on the financial statements, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the audit.

The audit team comprised auditors Marcelo da Silva Sousa (supervisor), Ricardo Akl Lasmar de Alvarenga (team leader), Diego Rodrigues Hulse, Jocelino Mendes da Silva Junior, and Paulo André Mattos de Carvalho.
