The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), through the Supervisory Committee on Emerging Issues (SCEI), is organizing two webinars to discuss the Global Trends Report. The virtual meetings will take place on March 18 at 11:00 a.m. (UTC-3) and March 19 at 1:30 a.m (UTC-3).

The objective is to bring together Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from around the world to explore the dynamics that will shape the future of society and governments in the coming decades. These events are exclusive to INTOSAI member SAIs. In addition to sharing the report’s findings and fostering dialogue among SAIs, the meetings contribute to building a database of case studies that can serve as a reference for future initiatives.

The Global Trends Report is a strategic document that employs forecasting methodologies to anticipate policy implications and risks associated with key global issues. It was designed to help governments and audit institutions prepare for uncertainties and develop more resilient and sustainable policies.

Approved by the INTOSAI Governing Board in October 2024, the report highlights seven critical trends, including the decline in trust in institutions, economic challenges, digital transformation, climate change, demographic shifts, global migration, and rising inequalities.
