Auditors from the Audit Department for Road Infrastructure and Civil Aviation (AudRodoviaAviação) and the Audit Department for Urban and Water Infrastructure (AudUrbana) took part in MundoGEO Connect 2026, one of Latin America's leading events focused on geospatial technologies and drones. Held from June 16 to 18 in São Paulo, the event brought together experts, companies, and representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss innovations and emerging trends in geospatial intelligence.
Under the theme "Geospatial Intelligence Solutions," the program featured courses, seminars, forums, and an exhibition. Auditors Luiz Filgueiras, Leonardo Naoto, and Marcos Donizete attended sessions on remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), drones, artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, BIM, and digital twins, with a focus on the application of these technologies to infrastructure, transportation, the environment, agriculture, and smart cities.
The TCU's participation underscores the Court's commitment to keeping pace with technological innovations that enhance the oversight of public policies and territorial management, particularly in areas that increasingly rely on geospatial data to support decision-making.
