Minister Vital do Rêgo, president of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), and Minister Antonio Anastasia participated in a bilateral meeting with the president of the Court of Accounts of Tunisia, Fadhila Gargouri, and the Prosecutor General, Narjess Sallami, during the Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIPP), held from May 19 to 22, in Tunis, Tunisia.

The meeting resulted in the signing of a letter of intent and a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs). The documents provide for technical cooperation in areas such as innovation, technology, government auditing, public governance and jurisdictional action.
The TCU presented solutions developed in-house, including ChatTCU, an artificial intelligence-based tool, ClimateScanner, the Energy Transition Audit Guide, and the audit project on multidimensional poverty carried out in partnership with the University of Oxford.
The representatives of the Tunisian SAI showed interest in expanding the cooperation on issues related to accountability in the management public funds, jurisdictional functions and monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The rapprochement strengthens the exchange of good practices and reinforces the commitment of both institutions to transparency, governance and the protection of public resources.
