ChatTCU 7.0 Marks a New Step Forward in TCU's Use of Artificial Intelligence
The new version of the platform features advanced AI models, specialized agents, and integration with the Court's systems

The Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) has launched version 7.0 of ChatTCU, an institutional generative artificial intelligence platform designed to support auditing activities and enhance the efficiency of the Court's operations. This new version combines advanced AI models, specialized agents, and integration with corporate systems, positioning TCU as one of the country's most advanced public institutions in the strategic use of this technology.
Developed by the Artificial Intelligence Center (NIA) of the Department of Information Technology and Digital Evolution, ChatTCU has accumulated over 4.3 million messages since 2023 and records peaks of up to 42,000 interactions in a single day. Currently, the platform includes more than 45 integrations either operational or under development with systems used by the Court.
The solution was designed to meet the needs of government auditing and to enable the secure use of artificial intelligence in analysis, research, document drafting, information processing, and audit support. Unlike public platforms, ChatTCU operates in a governed and protected environment, equipped with security mechanisms, traceability, and integration with the Court's institutional databases.
New Features Enhance the Platform's Functionality
Among the new features in version 7.0 are the incorporation of state-of-the-art AI models, internet search capabilities, a shared prompt library, preference customization, multimodal content analysis including text, images, audio, and video and expanded processing of long documents while fully preserving context.
ChatTCU also introduces new specialized agents focused on the Court's core activities. These solutions can assist in drafting decisions, analyzing appeals, and automatically verifying financial reports. The tools use AI to support complex tasks while ensuring human review remains an indispensable step in the decision-making process.
Integration Strengthens Government Auditing
Another key area is the platform's integration with TCU's strategic initiatives. ChatTCU already supports solutions such as e-TCU, Integrated Search, ClimateScanner, and SisLegis, as well as projects under development aimed at analyzing audit evidence and intelligently exploring procedural and regulatory databases.
Sharing the Solution Expands Its Impact on the Public Sector
In addition to enhancing the Court's internal operations, TCU's expertise in artificial intelligence extends beyond the institution's boundaries. The ChatTCU source code has already been shared with more than 160 public agencies, including Brazilian public administration institutions and international organizations such as the Office of the Comptroller General of Chile, the Superior Court of Accounts of Honduras, and the Mongolian National Audit Office. This initiative has promoted the safe and strategic use of artificial intelligence in the public sector, strengthened collaboration among institutions, and expanded digital innovation capacity in public administration.

The strategic application of artificial intelligence allows us to expand the Court's analytical capacity, accelerate processes, support increasingly complex audits, and enhance the effectiveness of external oversight.
