Presents the performance audits findings on generating education statistics, conducted by 11 Latin American Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) - Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama and the Dominican Republic. The project stems from the time when the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil (TCU) was president of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS), and their initiative to encourage coordinated audits amongst member SAIs.
