TCU in OISC/CPLP
General Secretary: Minister Walton Alencar Rodrigues of the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil (TCU)
The Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISC) of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) is an independent association, created to promote the development and improvement of its members, through promotion of actions of technical, scientific and cultural cooperation in auditing and oversight of public resources use. OISC/CPLP was created in 1995 and it is an associate member of Intosai since 2010.
The first General Secretary, appointed by the President of the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil, was, until March of 2013, Minister Luciano Brandão Alves de Souza. In the previous years, the work developed by the General Secretariat of Joint Committee can be acknowledged through reports of activities approved in the Meetings of CPLP’s SAIs. (Maputo, 1997; Lisbon, 1998; Lisbon, 1999; Brasilia, 2000; Ponta Delgada, 2001; Luanda, 2002; Fortaleza, 2004; Maputo 2006; Lisbon 2007, Porto City 2008, São Tomé City 2010, Beach City, 2012).
On February 13, 2013, Minister Valmir Campelo was appointed the head of the General Secretariat of the Organization, who was active until April 8 of the following year, when he retired.
On April 9, 2014, Minister Walton Alencar Rodrigues was appointed the General Secretary by the then President of TCU, Minister João Augusto Ribeiro Nardes.
