“The importance of integrating the Federal Court of Accounts, body of constitutional stature that assists the National Congress in the mission of exercising the external public control, is in the opportunity to serve society, playing this republican duty with poise and courage, with a focus on improving government management and on the pursuit of the good use of public resources.

The legitimacy of the magistrate must be oriented to comply with the principles and values that national sovereignty considers essential. In this regard, I am aware that the endowment in such honorable position brings great responsibility, which must be carried out with seriousness and commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Thus, the meaning of composing the Minister Body of the Audit Court, in my view, is to act so that the above attributes are recognized as necessary elements for the achievement of social rights under the Federal Constitution in benefit of the population.”
